I don't mind if people jaywalk. As long as they don't mind me running them over when they give me 1/10 of a second warning time to dodge them.

That's my problem with it as well. No point in jumping in front of a car doing 60 kph (the speed limit on most brazilian avenues) and expecting it to stop, it's physically impossible.
